At least got everything in the new house! As far as unpacked and everything where it goes....not! We spent the entire day on Tuesday moving everything here. Then I spent the next two days cleaning the kitchen. I kid you not. This is a great house but it's not had a really good cleaning in years. The fridge...I vomited. For realz. It was disgusting! I didn't bring any food into the house until last night so we've been eating Burger King for days. I finally had my bowl of mini wheats this morning.

Aside from the kitchen, the house isn't too terrible. Just regular cleaning. Even the bathroom isn't that bad. We are loving this place. Wonderful neighbors too. Most people in this neighborhood are retired and lived here a long time. They're like a little family and welcomed me, Charlie and Katie right in to it! The dogs LOVE the back yard! It's huge with lots of room to run and I don't have to sit with them the entire time! Much better than the tiny fenced in yard at the old place.

So I go back to work today. I'm fine with it actually. It will be very slow so I can actually relax and catch up on my reading.

Yes, we are FINALLY moving! As some of you know, this place we're in in a piece of poop. We moved in here with all intentions of fixing it up and selling it within the year. Well, it needed more work than I realized. WAY more work. And now we've realized mold is growing in several walls. The roof has apparently been leaking into the walls for some time. There is not a room in the house that the floor isn't warped. Ants have taken over the bathroom and all the woods surrounding the house have been cleared exposing us to the meth-head/lab trailer park. My brother GAVE this place to us so it's not a big loss for us except time-wise.

So now we're moving into a brick home which makes us feel safer immediately because of hurricanes. It's less than a mile from my job and takes about 10 miles off Charlie's commute. It's much bigger AND we have a den area for all Charlie's toys! (guitars, games, computer, ect.) A big fenced in back yard and the owners don't mind my animals! We are so excited!

Needless to say I'm gonna be busy! Very busy. All the fun stuff that goes along with moving. I know I've been slack here at DA as it is but for the next few weeks I'm gonna get worse! So if you don't hear from me or I don't comment and all that jazz, just be patient! I'll be back Probably with millions new pics of the new place!

So it's been in the 100's all week with the heat index. It is soooo hot! I hate the summer. I really do. I tried cutting my grass the other day in the evening after it cooled a bit but the humidity was so high I had to stop just after doing the side yard because I was about to have a heat stroke. Not an exaggeration! I seriously had to come in and stand under a cool shower for a while. I hate summer. Blah!

I've been pretty busy lately and haven't spent a lot of time here at DA. It sometimes takes me a while to respond but I do try to get to everyone! I just want everyone to know I appreciate you so much even if it seems I'm slacking. The next couple of weeks are going to be nuts because I am working 9 of the next 11 days. Y'all should feel sorry for Charlie and Katie because I'm going to be tired and bitchy for a while!

So anyway, y'all be patient with me for a couple of weeks! I'm going to be busy as hell.

My house is a circus right now! Alli went on vacation so I get the privilege of keeping Tito and AJ. So for the next weeks I have 5 little dogs underfoot! And I do mean under foot. But it's fun. There is always a doggy play fight going on. Mostly Weensie and AJ. They are so freakin cute!

The cats are none too pleased with the situation. Couple of nights ago Phoebe comes in the pet door yowling with a baby bunny in her mouth. I make her let it go and it's not hurt! Or at least not that I could tell. So I pick it up (it was so tiny) and let it go outside and it hopped off in a hurry. I was very happy to save the baby bunny. I've saved many a bunny from Pheebs AND Luci.

So this morning Katie screams..I come running..and there is the bunny. Dead under my computer desk. She finally killed it. Phoebe is such an ass. I know it's her instict but damn..it was so sad. It already had rigor mortis. It was gross.

Not really. They're just playing. I thought some of you might enjoy this little video of the dogs playing in the yard. Daisy, the brown one is the one that's sounds so vicious. Until the end that is...then Weensie take over the growling! Poor Leo, always gettin' ambushed!
